Let's say you’ve just bought some of our vanilla products from us or you’ve just received some as a gift. What do you make with it? If you aren’t someone who buys our products in bulk, and just want to make some tasty treats at home, then this blog post is for you. We’ve compiled five of our favourite recipes for you that you can add our vanilla to – we’ve added the ingredients so you can check which ones suit your diet.

• First up, salted caramel and vanilla ice cream from Jane’s Patisserie! Add in our vanilla between steps 1 and 2 and watch your no-churn ice cream come to life! https://www.janespatisserie.com/2015/09/25/no-churn-salted-caramel-ice-cream/

– 600ml double cream

– 1 x 397g tin of Carnations caramel (or dulce de leche)

– 1-2 tsp sea salt flakes (I used Maldon Flakes)

– 200g chocolate, chopped into chunks

– Caramel/toffee ice cream sauce

 

• Next, vanilla cheesecake! Creamy, baked vanilla cheesecake – perfect for all weather! For this, you will need:

- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs

- 1/2 cup butter, melted

- 1/4 cup sugar

- 4 packages (8 ounces each) of cream cheese, softened

- 1 - 1 1/2 cups sugar

- 3 tbsp vanilla extract

- 1/8 teaspoon salt

- 4 large lightly breaten eggs, room temperature

• Third, a classic: vanilla sponge. Who doesn’t love a Victoria sponge – completely perfect in every way. My personal favourite actually! This one is from BBC Good Food. https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/classic-victoria-sandwich-recipe

You will need:

- 200g caster sugar

- 200g softened butter

- 4 eggs, beaten

- 200g self-raising flour

- 1 tsp baking powder

- 2 tbsp milk

- 100g butter, softened

- 140g icing sugar, sifted

- 1 drop of vanilla extract 

- half a 340g jar good-quality strawberry jam

- icing sugar, to decorate

- 1 ¾ cups spelt flour, or flour of choice

- 2 tsp baking powder

- ½ tsp baking soda

- ¼ tsp salt

- ¼ cup light flavoured olive oil or warmed coconut oil

- 1 tsp vanilla extract

- ⅓ cup organic sugar (pure cane or coconut sugar)

- 4 small or 3 large bananas (preferably overripe), mashed

- ¼ cup chocolate chips

- old fashioned oats

- light spelt flour

- sugar (turbinado, coconut or pure cane)

- baking powder

- baking soda

- pinch of salt

- bananas

- unsweetened almond milk

- grapeseed or light flavored olive oil or applesauce

- fresh blueberries (frozen are ok too)

- vanilla (of course)
